Clean & straighten Church & Parish Hall
Set up coffee pot
Bring snacks for after Church

Church:
Remove dust covers – store in sacristy
Place candles behind Altar (in summer, move them away from the windows after the service)

For Holy Communion
Check calendar for color of vestments
Place Casuble on Bishop’s chair, front down if priest requests


Chalice Preparation:

Place the Corporal on the Altar, centered on the Fair Linen with the front of the Corporal even with the eastern edge of the Fair Linen (toward window).
Place Chalice on center of Corporal.
Place Purificator on Chalice.
Place Paten on Purificator. If wafers are used instead of baked bread, place a single large wafer (Priest’s Host) on the Paten before adding the Pall.
Place Pall on Paten
Place Veil on Pall.
Place Burse on Pall with opening facing the priest (east).
In the Burse are placed two extra Purificators.
Place Pillow on the left side of the Altar.
Place Altar Book on Pillow.
Place Bell on right side of the Altar.  Use either bell.
Place flowers on the Altar.
Flowers should be left out of refrigerator (day or an hour or more) before placing on the “coasters” on the Altar (so they will not sweat on the Fair Linen).

 

Credence Table:

Place wine in cruet with cross stopper on silver tray, handle to east.
Place water in cruet with cross stopper on silver tray, handle to east.
Remove bread from cookie tin in freezer and put out shortly before service.
If longer time span is required or Sacrament will be reserved, we should use the wafers in freezer door.
Place lavabo bowl (silver) on table.
Place lavabo towel on table.
Place glass of water on table.
